Description:
This training aims to provide an overview of the I/T CLASS measure in preparation for your CLASS assessment. Our facilitators aim to help Teachers to develop an understanding of observation process by introducing and exploring the CLASS domains and dimensions. By the end of the session Teachers will better understand the CLASS tool & observable interactions that matter.
Aims: –
- The overall aim is for Educators to be introduced to Infant / Toddler CLASS measure 2008 edition.
- To build CLASS understanding and assist in preparation for CLASS Assessments.
- Educators will explore how “Making the Most of Classroom Interactions” impacts on children’s long term learning outcomes.
- Educators will be offered an overview of Positive Climate, Negative Climate, Teacher Sensitivity, Regard for Child Perspectives, Behavior Guidance, Facilitated Exploration, Facilitation of Learning & Development, Quality of Feedback, Early Language Support, & Language Modelling as it relates to Infants and Toddler CLASS measure.
- ELC’s Group coaching approach will encourage participants to learn and grow through self-reflective practices.

This 2.5-hour training will focus on the Infant & Toddler 2008 edition of the CLASS Measure. Similarities to the 2nd edition may be covered, however this overview reflects the 2008 measure and is not intended to be an overview or introduction to the 2nd edition
Note:
Please be prepared to arrive on time and stay until the end of the training. This is an in-person training participants must actively participate in class discussions, and complete & submit the training evaluation form before a certificate is awarded. Partial in-service hours will not be awarded.
